Nfu Oh #65 / the holo that's even holo without sunlight! + an IMPORTANT question for readers from NY

By
Okay, why on earth would I wear a holo when there is no sun at all? Well, because I had a polish-block, I had no inspiration at all when I had to choose a polish. So my boyfriend "Eppie" suggested I could wear one of the Nfu Oh's he gave me last december. Great idea ofcourse, I love Nfu Oh's and I love holo. Win-win situation I thought. Well it was, untill I had to take pictures, pictures without direct sunlight don't do this polish justice. But I promise you I will post new pictures when I get the chance to take some sunlight pictures.

Application
Without basecoat it could be a one coater, but I wanted to wear it for several days so I needed a basecoat.
With regular basecoat you will experience major dragging and baldspots ( as with most holo's), so be very careful and precise with the application. You'll probably need 3 coats ( let each one dry in between ) to get a good result and cover up the bald spots. It dries extremely quick!
I wore it with basecoat, 3 coats Nfu Oh #65, Seche Vite topcoat and after that another coat of Nfu Oh #65.

Applicatie
See how it's still holo without any sun at all!
Kijk nou hoe holo het is zonder enige zon!
And now an important question for readers living in New York or who are familiar with the city: My friend Rosa goes to NY in a couple of days and she really likes to get some good advice for great nailpolish shopping in Manhattan and New Jersey. So if you know some awesome stores there, please let me know. Rosa will also buy some polishes for me in NY, so I will also benefit from your advise, LOL.

Thank you so much for reading everyone :-)
Have a great day!!!

  1. I'm not sure if these places still exist because I haven't been to the city in over a year but I'll try anyway :D

On 32nd street between 6th and 7th ave. there are two places that I really liked. Jack's 99 Cent store carries some elf polishes (and other elf products). They were 99 cents each so a great price for some nice polishes. This was closer to 6th avenue on 32street.

Then there was another store on 32nd that was kinda closer to 7th avenue. I'm not sure about the name of the store but it had the word "wigs" on the name. "Wigs and something" or "Something and Wigs" or something like that. I can't remember the name but I liked the store. It was a nice beauty supply store where I used to buy color club polishes and art club liners. They had some other liners too. I really liked that place and shopped there quite often. I'm sad that all I can say you about this store is that they had wigs in the name, the store was quite close to 7th avenue on 32nd street and that it was on the same side of the road that the jack's 99 cent store was. I liked shopping around the pen station area too, so this'd be probably a place where your friend might visit anyways, not just because of nail polish.

Also, I always checked a lot of Duane Reades when I passed by because some of then had really pretty nice drugstore gems in them.

Hopefully this'll help at least a little. I wish I could go back there too

  6. Not bad at all - that we can see the holo in the photos despite the dreary weather. Very beautiful! [scrolls up again for another look]
