GlossBox Netherlands March 2012

Oops! Totally forgot to post the content of last months Glossybox! I expect the April box wil arrive this weekend so I'm posting this very quickly:

Oeps! Ik ben helemaal vergeten de inhoud van de Glossybox van april te posten. Waarschijnlijk komt de april box dit weekend, dus ik moet maar snel nog even de inhoud van maart laten zien:

It doesn't look like much, but I was actually very happy with this!

Het ziet er zo niet heel spectaculair uit, maar ik was er heel blij mee!

This is the product that I was most happy about. A full size jar of pearls filled with oil for your face. The smell is divine and you wake up the next morning with a really good looking skin. I will certainly buy this again!

Dit is het product waar ik het meest blij mee ben. Een full size potje met parels waarin een olie zit voor op je gezicht. De geur is echt heerlijk en je wordt de volgende ochtend wakker met een stralende huid. Dit koop ik zeker nog een keer!

A small bottle showergel. I wanted to give this away, but my boyfriend 'Eppie' liked the scent so now we have it in the shower.

Een klein flesje douchegel. Ik wilde het weggeven, maar mijn 'Eppie' vond het lekker ruiken, dus nu staat het bij ons in de douche.

I looove the body butters from The Body Shop. But I'm not a choco-holic, and it really has a strong chocolate scent, so I'm giving this to a friend

Ik houuuu van de body butters van The Body Shop. Maar ik hou niet van chocolade en er zit toch echt een sterke chocolade geur aan deze crème, dus ik geef dit potje aan een vriendin.

Just when I needed a new bottle of shamboo, Glossybox gave me this full size bottle. It has a nice scent and it cleans my hair, just the way I like it.

Precies toen ik een nieuwe fles shampoo nodig had zat deze full size fles in de Glossybox. Het rukt lekker en ik krijg er schoon haar van, dat is wat ik nodig had.

It's a blusher and it's orange. I rarely use blusher (only to hide it when I'm not feeling well ) and orange is not my color. I'm not an orange. I'll throw this one away.

Het is een blusher en het is oranje. Ik gebruik zelden blusher (alleen om te verbergen dat ik me niet lekker voel) en oranje is niet mijn kleur. Ik ben geen sinaasappel. Deze gooi ik weg.

GlossyBox Netherlands February 2012

Over a week ago I received the februrary edition of the GlossyBox. It arrived on Friday so I had a nice start of my weekend! Here are the products I was surprised with this month:

Meer dan een week geleden heb ik de februari editie van de GlossyBox ontvangen. Het werd op vrijdag bezorgd dus ik had een goede start van mijn weekend! Dit zijn de producten waar ik deze maand mee verrast ben:

2 fullsize products, 3 samples, 1 perfume sample

On this card you see the description of what was in the box and the price if you buy a fullsize product in the store. I personally would NEVER buy a crème for € 90,- (= $ 118,-) but it's nice to be able to try it.

Op dit kaartje zie je een beschrijving van wat er in de box zit en wat het kost als je zo'n product fullsize aanschaft. Persoonlijk zou ik NOOIT een potje gezichtscrème komen voor € 90,-, maar het is leuk om het een keertje te proberen.

A fullsize faceprimer from L'Oréal. To be honest: I didn't know what a primer is, I had to look it up on the card. But it seems like a product that I can use as you can also use it on it's own.

Een fullsize gezichtsprimer van L'Oréal. Om eerlijk te zijn wist ik niet wat een primer is, ik moest het opzoeken op de bijgevoegde kaart. Maar het lijkt me iets dat ik prima kan gebruiken omdat je het ook zonder foundation erover kan gebruiken

Nice looking sample by Shiseido with a very tiny amount of creme in it, it looks like no more than a drop of creme. I do think you can use it 2 or maybe 3 days if you use it sparsely

A fullsize product of 50 ml costs € 90,- so this little 7 ml sample is worth € 12,50 ( $ 16,50 )!
Very eager to try it though, for that amount it must make me look like Halle Berry.

Een sample van Shiseido dat er erg mooi uitziet, maar er zit vrij weinig in, het lijkt wel op een druppeltje crème. I denk wel dat je er 2 of 3 dagen mee kan doen als je zuinig smeert.

Een fullsize potjevan 50ml  kost € 90, dus deze 7 ml druppel is € 12,50 waard!

Kan niet wachten om het te proberen, voor dat bedrag moet die creme me eruit laten zien als Halle Berry.

I'm always suspicious if something is made by a 'Doctor', is he/she really a doctor? And in what?

Nog een crème sample met een klein beetje product erin maar wat een klein fortuin kost als je het fullsize poste aanschaft. Deze is van Doctor Babor en ik gok dat hier ook maar iets van 7 ml in zit.

Ik ben altijd een beetje achterdochtig als zo'n spulletje is gemaakt door een 'Dokter', is hij/zij echt een dokter en in wat?

KOH is a well known high end  Dutch brand for hand- and nailcare so I like it when there is a KOH product in the GlossyBox. This is a Purifying Hand Bath, I've never heard about something like this, but it's like a bathpearl for your hands that's supposed to make your hands clean and soft. Sounds a bit weird, but I really want to try it!

Koh is een bekend duurder Nederlands merk voor hand- en nagelverzorging dus ik ben er blij mee als er iets van KOH in de GlossyBox zit. Dit is een Purifying Hand Bath, nou heb ik nog nooit van zoiets gehoord, maar het is dus een soort badbruistablet voor je handen waarvan ze schoon en zacht worden. Het klinkt een beetje apart, maar ik wil het wel graag proberen!

When I discovered the tube of DuWop in my glossybox I was so happy! This brand is very hard to get here in Holland. Maybe this means they are planning to make this brand better available over here? Anyway, love DuWop, it's a sticky gloss with cinnamon flavour that gives a pleasant slightly burning feeling to your lips, it's supposed to make them look fuller. 

Toen ik het tubetje DuWop ontdekte in mn GlossyBox was ik echt heel blij! Dit merk is vrij lastig te krijgen hier. Misschien betekent het dat ze ervoor gaan zorgen dat we makkelijker aan DuWop kunnen komen in Nederland? Maar goed, ik hou dus van DuWop, het is een plakkerige gloss met kaneelsmaak en het geeft een leuk beetje branderig gevoel aan je lippen en daardoor zouden je lippen voller gaan lijken.

And a perfume sample. I don't like it, this must be what 'boring' smells like.

En een parfum monstertje. Ik vind er niks aan, als 'saai' een geur zou hebben dan zou het hiernaar ruiken

Glossybox January 'Valentines edition' - quick look at the content

I received my second Glossybox last week. I know people are interested in seeing the content because there were several people who visited my blog last week after googeling 'Glossybox nederland'. Many of the other blogging girls have shown this box in the past week so I will keep it nice and short.

Afgelopen week heb ik mijn tweede Glossybox ontvangen. Ik weet dat er mensen in geïnteresseerd zijn om te zien wat erin zit, want ik zag dat er best wat mensen op mijn blog terecht zijn gekomen na het googelen op 'Glossybox nederland'. Veel andere bloggende meiden hebben de box afgelopen week al laten zien, dus ik hou het lekker kort vandaag.

 The box of this month is very pink and I like how luxurious it looks.

De box van deze maand is heel erg roze en ik hou ervan dat alles zo luxe verpakt is

Op dit kaartje zie je wat er in de box zit en wat het kost als je een full size product aanschaft.

The content of this month: A travel size hairspray, a travel size showergel, a travel size eyecreme, full size eyeshadow pencil, full size facial creme and a pocket mirror. I said travel size a few time because there is alot of product in the samples, much more than a 'regular' sample.

De inhoud van deze maand: Een reisformaat haarspray, een reisformaat douchegel, reisformaat oogcreme, full size oogschaduw potlood, full size gezichtscreme en een zakspiegel.

 Eyecreme from Maria Galland. 5ml ( full size is 15 ml ). Wonderful silver packaging, looks expensive. Never heard of Maria Galland before.
Oogcreme van Maria Galland. 5ml ( full size is 15ml ). Prachtige zilveren verpakking, ziet er duur uit. Ik heb nog niet eerder van Maria Galland gehoord.

 Full size eyeshadowpencil from Golden Rose. I guess everybody got a different color. I got a color that doesn't suit me, can't wait untill the boxes can be personalised a bit.

Full size oogshaduwpotlood van Golden Rose. Ik gok dat iedereen een ander kleurtje heeft gekregen. Ik heb een kleur gekregen die niet bij me past, ik kan niet wachten tot de boxen wat meer gepersonaliseerd kunnen worden!

 Showergel from L'Occitane. Smells divine! 75 ml (full size is 250ml)
I often walk past the L'Occitane store, but I've never entered the store.

Ik loop regelmatig langs de L'Occitane, maar ik ben nog nooit in die winkel geweest.

 Full size facial creme, tried it once and I guess it's a good one. Never heard of Dr. R. A. Eckstein before.

Full size gezichtscreme, ik heb 'm één keer geprobeerd en volgens mij is 'ie best goed. Ik heb nog nooit eerder van Dr. R.A. Eckstein gehoord.

 Redken hairspray. 75ml (full size is 400ml). In the previous box was also a hairspray (full size ), I guess I don't have to buy hairspray for the following months.

So this was the content of this months Glossybox.
It's my second box and I'm a happy customer.
Not everything in it will be used by me, but I have alot of women around me that are willing to help me try the products.

My first Glossy Box!

Two months ago Glossy Box lauched their first box here in Holland. I didn't subscribe in time to get that one. But I immediately subscribed for the next one and two weeks ago the December edition of Glossy Box was delivered at my door.

Twee maanden geleden is Glossy Box in Nederland geïntroduceerd. Ik was er niet op tijd bij om de eerste box te krijgen, maar ik heb me gelijk aangemeld voor de December editie en deze werd twee weken geleden bij me bezorgd.

Every month it's a surprise what's inside the Glossy Box. It can be a good surprise, it can be a bad surprise, but it's a surprise either way and it's much fun to discover the content of the box. This is what I found inside my December box:

Wat er in de Glossy Box van de maand zit is iedere keer een verrassing. Het kan meevallen, het kan tegenvallen, maar het is hoe dan ook een verrassing en daarom leuk om open te maken en te ontdekken wat erin zit. Dit is wat ik in mijn December box vond:



Desciption of pruducts and (full size) prices

Some of these brands are new to me (Dermalogica, Cowshed, Peggy Sage) and some I already heard and/or have used products of ( KOH, Schwarzkopf, Scaredy Cat -only seen on blogs-). But all the products were new to me, so it's fun to discover new products.
Sommige van deze merken zijn nieuw voor me (Dermalogica, Cowshed, Peggy Sage) en van sommige had ik al gehoord of heb iets van die merken geprobeerd (KOH, Schwarzkopf, Scaredy Cat -only seen on blogs-). Alle producten zelf waren nieuw voor me, dus het was leuk om de nieuwe producten te mogen proberen.

KOH Essential Hand Nourisher. I think this is my favorite product of the entire box. KOH is a well known Dutch brand that specialises in hand- and nailcare. This sample looks very nice and there is a good amount of procuct in it, 15 ml / 0.5 oz ( same amount as in an average bottle of nailpolish ).

KOH Essential Hand Nourisher. Ik denk dat dit mijn favoriete pruduct uit deze box is. KOH is een bekend nederlands merk dat gespecialiseerd is in hand- en nagelverzorging. Dit proefmonster ziet er goed uit en er zit een ruime hoeveelheid in, 15 ml ( zelfde als in meeste flesjes nagellak ).

A cute little sample from a Scaredy Cat eyeshadow in the color Chakra. Bright purple with light blue sparkles. I did a quick swatch on my hand, no special base, it has great pigmentation.

Een schattig klein sample flesje  van Scaredy Cat in de kleur Chakra. Fel paars met licht blauwe glimmer erin. Ik heb een snelle swatch op mijn hand gedaan, er zit dus geen speciale basis onder, het geeft echt veel kleur af.

 Cowshed - Lippy Cow. Okay, a lipbalm from a cow barn that makes you lips feel like cow??? That was the first thing I thought when I saw this. But there is no lipbalm in the world that smells and tastes as amazing as this Lippy Cow. The smell and taste are divine, I really love that about this balm. There is Linden blossom, Geranium and Ylang Ylang in it. It unfortunately does little to make my dry chappy lips softer.
Cowshed - Lippy Cow. Cowshed = Koeienschuur. Dus een lippenbalsam uit de koeienschuur die je lippen naar koe doet smaken? Ik bedacht me rare dingen gingen door mn hoofd toen ik deze lip balm zag.
Maar om eerlijk te zijn is er geen lippenspul in de wereld die zo heerlijk ruikt en smaakt als deze Lippy Cow. De geur en smaak zijn echt zalig, dat is absoluut het beste aan deze balm. Er zit lindenbloesem, geranium en ylang ylang in. Helaas maakt het mijn droge beschadigde lippen niet veel zachter.

False lashes with shiney little gems on them. Maybe I'll try them for our pre-Christmas party.
Nepwinpers met glimmende steentjes erop. Misschien probeer ik ze wel op ons pre-Kerstmis feestje.

Dermalogica Daily Microfoliant - It's a powder, you have to mix with water in your hands untill it foams and then you can gently wash your face with it. It's supposed to make you skin look healthy and shiney so I'm definately going to use this one! Generous sample, 13 grams ( full size is 75 grams ).

Dermalogica Daily Microfoliant - Het is een poeder, je moet het in je handen mengen met water tot het schuimt en je gezicht en voorzichtig mee wassen. Je schijnt er een mooie glanzende gezonde huid van te krijgen, dus deze ga ik zeker gebruiken. Rume hoeveelheid zit er in dit proefmonster, 13 gram ( full size is 75 gram )

Full size bottle of Schwarzkopf hairspray, the design is nice. It costs € 17,15 (= $ 22,50 ) I wouldn't have bought it myself. But I certainly need it since I just had a new shorter hairdo!

Grote fles Schwarzkop hairspray, mooi design. Ik zou het niet zelf geprobeerd hebben omdat ik €17, 15 aan de dure kant vind, maar ik kan het wél goed gebruiken omdat ik net mn haar korter heb laten knippen!

So this was my first Glossy Box. I really like the concept of being surprised every month with new high-end products that are being delivered to me at my home in a fancy box.
There are other countries that also have Glossy Box so if you are interested you should google if you can subscribe too!

Dit was dus mijn eerste Glossy Box. Ik vind het echt een leuk idee dat ik iedere maand verrast wordt met luxe producten die bij me thuis bezorgd worden in een luxe verpakking.
